White Shells has four endings, and you do not need four separate campaign saves to see them.
* **PRPG / propaganda leaflet into Barcelona** → the peaceful city ending;
* **chemical or White Phosphorus route** → Barcelona survives but submits;
* **Atomic shell into Barcelona** → the city-destruction ending;
* **attack your own High Command, then destroy the forces that retaliate against Iron Nest** → the betrayal ending.
The fourth route is the only one I would prepare before firing anything.
Once I turned on my own command, I could no longer rely on requisitioning new ammunition. My first attempt failed because destroying High Command by itself was not enough.
On the successful attempt I located the friendly artillery that would become hostile, calculated the shots in advance, bought the shells and powder first, then attacked command and worked through the retaliation targets.
Do **not** spend the 666-requisition Atomic shell on your own headquarters if you are trying for that route. Save the money for the follow-up fight.
Last updated: Aug 8, 2026. White Shells is Mission 15 and the final campaign mission in Iron Nest. This page contains full ending spoilers. The firing numbers below are worked examples from completed runs rather than universal coordinates.
White Shells deliberately gives an ambiguous final order. The important choice is not how to hit Barcelona, but what you decide to fire at all.
White Shells surprised me because I originally treated it like a normal final mission.
High Command places Barcelona in front of Iron Nest and essentially tells me that I already know which shell should end the war.
In my run, Iron Nest was positioned around **A10**.
There was no normal chain of mandatory target coordinates to solve first.
Instead, the mission asks what I am going to do with the weapons I have spent the campaign unlocking.
| Ending achievement | Route I used | | --- | --- | | **A City in Celebration** | Fire a PRPG propaganda leaflet into Barcelona | | **A City Subdued** | Use the non-atomic chemical / White Phosphorus route | | **The Road Not Taken** | Turn on High Command and survive the retaliation | | **A City Silent** | Fire the Atomic shell into Barcelona |
The first three city-directed routes are quick once the firing solution is ready.
The Road Not Taken is a completely different mission.
This page separates documented information from assumptions so players can use it as a reference without treating unverified claims as fact. Check the in-game interface and official announcements when a mechanic, availability detail, or value may have changed after the source was collected.
